The Business Brief

AI answers with whatever it knows. Ask it to reply to a customer and it knows nothing about your prices, your area, or the way you talk, so it guesses. That's why the answers sound generic.

This one page fixes it. Fill it in once, in about 45 minutes, and every AI job in your Game Plan starts from your real business.

  1. 01

    The business

    • Business name, what you do, and the towns or area you serve.
    • Your hours, and how people reach you (phone, text, web form, walk-in).
    • How long you have been in business and anything that sets you apart, in plain words.

  2. 02

    What you sell

    • Your main services or products, one line each.
    • Typical prices or price ranges. Write "call for a quote" where that is the honest answer.
    • What you do NOT do, so AI never offers it.

  3. 03

    Your customers

    • Who your best customers are and why they choose you.
    • The 10 questions customers ask most, each with your real answer.
    • Words your customers use for what you do (they rarely use the industry term).

  4. 04

    Your policies

    • Booking, cancellations, deposits, payment terms, warranties or guarantees.
    • Anything that must always be said a certain way (licensing, safety, medical or legal wording).

  5. 05

    How you sound

    • Three words that describe how you talk to customers.
    • Paste two or three real messages you wrote that you were happy with.
    • Words or phrases you never want used.

  6. 06

    The rules for AI

    • What AI may draft (replies, quotes, posts, notes).
    • What a person must always check before it goes out.
    • What AI must never do on its own: promise a price, discuss a complaint, give advice you are licensed for.

ChatGPT
Create a Project, open its instructions or files, and add the brief. Every chat in that Project starts from it.
Claude
Create a Project and add the brief to its knowledge. Every chat in that Project reads it first.
Anything else
Paste the brief at the top of the chat before you ask for anything. It takes five seconds and changes every answer.
