Know what to build before you pay to build it.
Most AI projects solve the wrong problem. They start with a tool, a demo, or a list of things they could automate. That is backwards.
The Business-First AI Audit starts with the business. It finds the real problem and shows you what to do first and why.
Get Your Business-First AI Audit →60-90-minute discovery. Six or more hours of analysis. 45-minute walkthrough. You leave with a First-Project Decision, a Blueprint, and a 90-day plan.
Founder Price: $999 for the next three engagements.
If we move forward with an implementation project, your full $999 is credited toward that work.
Six questions your plan answers.
AI can make the wrong process faster. Automation fails when the data is unreliable. An agent creates work when nobody owns the exceptions. These are the questions that come before the tool.
- 01
What problem is costing the business time, money, quality, or customers?
- 02
What is really causing it?
- 03
What work should be removed, simplified, reassigned, or handed to software you already own?
- 04
What should wait, and why?
- 05
What should the first project include?
- 06
How will you know it worked?
A business owner wanted to fund a massive AI project.
I traced the work through the business first. Here is what happened.
Some tasks were legacy items that served no purpose, so we deleted them. Others were already handled by software the company owned. One would have been done better by a script than by AI. Building the original list would have taken weeks, wasted money, and left the business maintaining more technology than the result justified.
About 70% of the planned work was either not needed or did not need AI.
I cannot share the final results yet because of an NDA. A full case study is coming.
That decision was only available because the work was traced first. The audit starts with the business reality, then decides what deserves technology after the evidence is visible.
We start with the easiest fix and stop at the first one that works.
Every rung costs more than the one above it. Most businesses are told to start at the bottom. Four of these six answers need no new technology at all.
- 01
Delete the work
Some tasks are legacy items that no longer serve the business. The cheapest fix is to stop doing them.
No new tech - 02
Simplify the process
Fewer steps, fewer handoffs, fewer approvals. Complexity is often the actual problem.
No new tech - 03
Fix who owns the work
Work stalls when nobody owns the exceptions. A tool cannot fix unclear ownership.
No new tech - 04
Use software you already own
The job is often already covered by a subscription you are paying for today.
No new tech - 05
Add a basic automation
When the work is predictable and repeatable, it does not need judgment. It needs a rule.
Automation - 06
Add AI where the work needs judgment
Variable work with real context is where AI earns its place. That is the last rung, not the first.
AI
Two answers sit outside the ladder. Keep a person in charge where trust matters. And wait, when the project is not ready yet.
A plan your team can act on.
One document. Six parts. The decision comes first, because that is the part you act on.
- 01
First-Project Decision
What to do next, what should wait, and why.
- 02
Business Constraint Map
The symptoms, the evidence, and the real cause behind the original request.
- 03
Current Workflow Map
Ownership, handoffs, delays, approval loops, exceptions, and where the work breaks.
- 04
Opportunity Priority Map
Your options ranked by business value, feasibility, risk, evidence, and effort.
- 05
First-Project Blueprint
The scope of the first project: roles, access, guardrails, exceptions, and the test for success.

90-Day Plan
What happens first, what waits, who owns each decision, and what to measure.
From business problem to a clear first project.
About two hours of your time, total.
You
Choose your starting point
Buy the audit when you are ready. If you are unsure, take the free eight-question Fit Check first. You see your result before I ask for contact information.
You
Complete the intake and send examples
Tell me about the problem, the people involved, and what it is costing. Send the screenshots, forms, or reports that show how the work really gets done.
Together
60-90 min
Walk through the work
We spend 60 to 90 minutes tracing the work from trigger to completion. We find the delays, the weak handoffs, and the steps that break.

6+ hours
Discover the real root cause
I review the call and everything you sent. I find the real cause, compare the options, and mark what is still unknown.

Build your plan
I write the decision, the First-Project Blueprint, and the 90-day plan.
Together
45 min
Review it together
We spend 45 minutes going through the answer, the tradeoffs, the risks, and your next step.
Good answers need real examples.
- Access to the person who owns the work.
- Examples of where the work slows down or breaks.
- Screenshots, forms, reports, or recordings.
- Your best estimate when exact numbers are not ready.
- What you already tried, and what happened.
- A willingness to drop ideas that do not hold up.
You will see what is proven and what is still a guess.
Every finding carries one of four labels. Nothing gets presented as fact when it is really a guess.
Verified
We have an example, report, record, or direct view of the work.
Likely
The facts point to an answer, but it still needs a test.
Your estimate
You gave the number. We have not checked it yet.
Unknown
We need more information before the project starts.
More certain → less certain
You have a real problem and can act on the answer.
The audit works best when the business is running, the problem is recurring, and you can approve the fix.
- Your business has customers and repeatable work.
- Important work is slow, costly, uneven, or too dependent on you.
- You can share the needed people, examples, and systems.
- You have the power to approve or reject the first project.
- You are ready to act within the next 90 days.
You do not have repeatable work to examine.
A narrower problem may need a smaller answer. For one tool or vendor decision, try the AI Second Opinion. If you are still working out what the problem is, start with the free AI Priority Map.
- You only want a list of popular AI tools.
- You already chose a tool and just need help setting it up.
- You cannot share the workflow, the people, or real examples.
- You want the build included in the audit price.
- You expect a promise of more sales or saved time.
Not included.
If a build makes sense, it gets its own scope, price, success test, and rollback plan.
I may build a private test when it sharpens the diagnosis. Anything client-facing is scoped separately.
- Production implementation or live integrations
- A working client-ready prototype
- Data migration, cleanup, or custom software
- Ongoing monitoring or unlimited revisions
- Guaranteed savings, revenue, adoption, or feasibility

I build revenue systems. AI is one part of that work.
I've helped startups grow to over $20M in Annual Recurring Revenue in 26 markets and have created several million dollar launch campaigns.
Growth at that scale depends on clear systems, ownership, data, and handoffs. I bring the same discipline to this audit.
I start with how the business works. AI enters the plan when the evidence supports it.
Available for the next three Business-First AI Audit engagements.
If we move forward with an implementation project after the audit, your full $999 audit fee is credited toward that work.
Your audit includes the intake, a 60-90-minute discovery, six or more hours of analysis, the First-Project Decision, the Blueprint, the 90-day plan, and a 45-minute walkthrough.
Get Your Business-First AI Audit →The audit can end three ways. All of them are useful.
Do not build yet
The idea is not worth doing, or something has to be fixed first. That is a real result, and it is cheaper than finding out later.
Your team does the work
Your team or your current partner uses the blueprint to build it. You do not have to hire me.
We work together
I send a separate proposal with a clear scope, price, and test for success. Your full $999 is credited toward it.
What to know before you buy.
Will you build the system for me?
The build is a separate project. Your audit gives your team or your builder a clear place to start. If we work together on the build, your full $999 audit fee is credited toward it.
Why can I not just hire someone to build what I asked for?
The idea may solve the wrong problem. It may copy a tool you already own. It may also add technology to work that should be removed or repaired first.
Can my team use the blueprint?
Yes. Your team or another partner can use the plan. You do not have to hire me for the build.
Do I need to know which AI tool I want?
No. A tool chosen up front narrows the diagnosis too early. Bring the business problem, the workflow, and real examples. We choose the tool after we understand the work.
What if AI is not the best answer?
The plan will say so. The best answer may be to remove work, fix who owns it, use software you already have, or repair the process first.
What if we do not have perfect data?
That is fine. Every finding is marked Verified, Likely, Your estimate, or Unknown, so you can see how solid the ground is under each recommendation.
Do you work in my industry?
The method works across many kinds of business because it starts with the work, not the software. Some legal, safety, or security needs may require another expert.
Is this only for marketing and sales?
No. The audit can examine operations, client delivery, team workflow, reporting, or revenue.
What happens after the three founder engagements?
I will review the delivery time, the process, and the client feedback. Then I will set the next price and the next number of openings.
